DSV Solutions is seeking to hire a skilled and passionate General Manager in AUS - Len Waters Estate, Aviation Road 

DSV are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead and optimise contract logistics operations by ensuring safe, efficient, and customer-focused delivery of warehousing and distribution services, while driving profitability, growth, and operational excellence.

Your typical day at DSV:

• Oversee daily operations to ensure the warehouses operate within budget and at peak efficiency by supervising, organising, training warehouse employees, establishing, monitoring, and managing operational goals
• Manage warehouse operations and systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilisation and inventory control
• Review and manage workflows, staffing requirements, space allocations, equipment layouts, and action plans that meet company standards for productivity, quality, and customer service
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing standards and procedures and by complying with legal regulations
• Ensure customer orders are processed within SLA’s in place with between the Customer and DSV, daily compliance with the processing of orders measured through the Open Orders reporting run daily
• Assign specific tasks to Managers, Supervisors or Team Leaders and ensure full accountability
• Plan and manage product distribution activities and oversee DC team to achieve company goals
• Ensure effective structure is in place in order to meet logistics and transport customer SLA’s and day to day running of operations in the facility

About you:

• Previous experience as an Operations Manager or DC Manager of a medium to large facility
• Experience in 3PL, distribution and road transport as well as customer relationship building
• Degree or equivalent relevant experience in a similar environment
• Staff, union and contractor management experience essential
• Strong commercial acumen, with demonstrated ability to apply business theories to operation and practical situations
• Demonstrate effective leadership by guiding, mentoring, and supporting team members, inspiring them to achieve their best performance
• Strong understanding of complex warehouse systems is vital
