Do you get excited about operational efficiencies, complex project assessment, and shaping next-generation warehouse solutions? If you thrive on taking solution designs from concept all the way through to live execution, we have the perfect role for you.

We are looking for a Senior Logistics Engineer – Process Engineer (Transformation) to join our team in Sydney. Reporting to the Lead Process Engineer, you will serve as the core operational and automation engineering stakeholder during project implementations—ensuring new business onboarding, warehouse automation, and continuous improvement projects seamlessly transition into high-performing operations.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Operation & Automation Engineering: Lead and drive optimal design processes for warehousing projects within ANZ, spanning project planning, risk assessment, material flow design, and solution concept optimization.
  • Detailed Solution Design: Develop end-to-end solutions, handle automation analysis, manage automation vendors, and construct investment analysis/business case proposals.
  • Operational Calibration: Assess existing operations to determine current states via time studies and workflow analysis, review resource allocations, and justify layouts or equipment usage.
  • System Integration: Collaborate closely with Application Engineering (AE) teams to assess system adjustments, ensure system setups align with operational requirements, and coordinate vendor integration.
  • Commercial Alignment: Evaluate variances between initial proposals and final operational models by understanding costing elements (OPEX, CAPEX, IMPEX) to support ROI/ROIC/IRR calculation.
  • Project Stakeholder Leadership: Lead operational discussion workshops, clearly present designed process impacts to management, and assist implementation engineers to ensure all design requirements are achieved.
  • Compliance & Standards: Enforce strict OHS policies, safe work practices, and environmental/sustainability procedures to limit waste and safeguard the workplace.

What You'll Bring

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics Engineering, or Automation & Mechatronics Engineering (Postgraduate degree is an advantage).
  • Experience: 8+ years in logistics, warehousing, or 3PL (preferably in an international environment), with 5+ years specifically focused on solution design, automation or process engineering.
  • Technical Proficiency: Solid analytical and commercial understanding of contract logistics; deep technical knowledge of operational/system process design; advanced MS Office skills (Excel functions including VBA and PowerQuery, plus PowerPoint).
  • Skills & Execution: Structured project approach with a proven track record of delivering on time, strong stakeholder management, conflict resolution, change management abilities, and excellent written/spoken English.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to travel interstate or internationally on a project basis (approx. 20%).

Bonus Points If You Have

  • Practical work experience directly with automation implementation vendors.
  • A strong commercial experience background.
  • Intercultural working experience or an international contract logistics background.

Why Join Us?

  • Play a critical, hands-on role in implementing major business and automation transformation projects across ANZ.
  • Work in a dynamic regional environment that balances technical data analysis with real-world execution.
  • Enjoy opportunities for cross-functional leadership, working alongside a dedicated regional and APAC automation network.
  • Collaborate with knowledgeable, passionate, and supportive colleagues who value open-mindedness and professional growth.
