Summary
The role is responsible for establishing governance, and enabling profitable growth through robust pricing strategies and market intelligence
Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and execute pricing strategies that align with the company's goals, market conditions, and customer expectations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to balance pricing decisions with targets, considering factors like volume discounts and negotiations.
- Analyse and understand the cost structures associated with Air, LCL, FCL, Courier services, ensuring that pricing covers costs while maintaining competitiveness.
- Analyse historical data, market trends, and cost structures to determine competitive and profitable pricing strategies.
- Accountable for sell rate adjustments to maximize company revenue and maintain competitiveness
- Identify opportunities for process improvements related to rate maintenance and pricing strategies.
- Prepare and deliver pricing proposals to potential customers, sales teams, and existing clients.
- Collaborate with the account managers and customer service teams to address concerns and negotiate rate changes when necessary.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market fluctuations, and regulatory changes that could impact pricing decisions.
- Lead, mentor, and manage the rate management team, ensuring that they are effectively executing their roles and meeting performance targets.
- Managing outputs and driving KPIs for the function
- Create and develop an enjoyable working environment, promoting free thinking hard work and mile-stone delivery.
Educational background / Work experience
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, logistics or supply chain management is required.
• 10+ years of experience in International Transport and Logistics is required.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in International Transport and Logistics pricing or procurement is required.
• 5+ years in an Operational Leadership Role in International Transport and Logistics is preferred.
Skills & Competencies
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with people at all levels of the organization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address operational issues and challenges.
• Proficiency in using and optimizing transportation management software and digital tools
• In-depth knowledge of transportation and logistics processes, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Knowledge of lean principles and methodologies is a plus.
• Strong math and analytical skills is preferred.

• This position will be responsible for managing a team of specialists
Preferred Qualifications
• Extensive experience in Pricing or Procurement Leadership in international transportation and logistics management.
Language skills
• Fluency in English (oral and written).

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, and experience with transportation management software.

For this position, the expected base pay is: $130,000 - $160,000 / Annual. Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, geographic location and other objective business considerations. This position can report to any DSV location in the USA.
