Summary
DSV USA is seeking a visionary and self-starter tax manager who can navigate the complexities of corporate taxation, drive operational excellence using latest tax tools, and contribute to the overall success of reporting tax to federal, state and group tax team in Denmark.
The role of Tax Manager will be handled by a dedicated employee, who collaborates with financial controllers and reports directly to the Senior Finance Director. This position requires on-site presence.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead corporate income tax, state, and sales tax matters for approximately 20 U.S. legal entities and one Puerto Rico entity, including compliance, audits, and tax inquiries.
- Prepare and review quarterly and annual corporate tax provisions for financial reporting purposes.
- Explain quarterly and annual tax computations, effective tax rates, and key drivers to management and Group Tax.
- Calculate deferred and current tax positions with clear, auditable working papers and submit results through the corporate reporting portal.
- Review and oversee U.S. and Canada sales tax filings in coordination with internal teams and external providers.
- Ensure timely and accurate federal, state, and local tax filings.
- Act as the primary point of contact with DSV Group Tax for the U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico.
- Report tax risks, audits, and significant tax matters through the Group Tax reporting tool.
- Ensure compliance with DSV Group Transfer Pricing policies and documentation requirements.
- Apply and interpret complex tax rules, including BEAT, FDII, transfer pricing regulations, and OECD Pillar II.
- Support corporate tax forecasting and budget reporting processes.
Educational background / Work Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Tax (Master’s degree or CPA is a plus).
- 10+ years of experience in corporate tax compliance, reporting, and filings at the federal and state level, ideally within a multinational environment.
- Strong experience with business activity and indirect taxes.
- Hands-on experience with tax provision and compliance software (e.g., Corptax or similar).
- Proven experience working with international business entities and group tax functions
- Experience with sales and use tax, is a plus
- Experience with SAP is a plus
- Experience in freight forwarding and logistics industries is a plus
- Experience with tax planning is a plus

Good stakeholder management and communication
Maintaining a level-head under pressure at month, quarter and year end are required, along with positive and professional attitude.
Good organization skill and attention to detail, able to plan in order to meet deadlines with good quality.
Flexibility around working hours as needed.
Problem solving skills for complex M&A transactions, issues and provide guidance solutions to management and staff.

For this position, the expected base pay range is $112,000-$130,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors, including relevant experience, skills, education or certifications, and geographic location, consistent with applicable laws and company policy.
