We are seeking a skilled and proactive reporting & controlling expert with accounting background. The ideal candidate will be responsible to oversee general accounting operations by reporting, controlling and verifying the financial transactions.

Detailed Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely and accurate recording of financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
  • Manage the financial activities of multiple branches or locations within the assigned country
  • Handles the accounting of Group charges and Regional Management fees of branches / locations within the assigned country.
  • Controlling reported data, including checks for consistency, completeness and trivial errors.
  • Analyze regional financial statements, identify trends, and communicate findings to regional and central management.
  • Assists the R2R team lead for Rolling Forecast Process such as preparation and distribution of the rolling forecast instructions containing the rolling forecast assumptions and timetable.
  • Assists in the budgeting process, including preparation and distribution of the budget instructions, budget assumptions, timetable, helps on resolving technical or system issues and data entry in SAC system
  • Collaborate with country managers to develop and monitor budgets for each branch / location.
  • Assists the R2R team lead to prepare for a regular balance sheet reviews with local finance and RCFO and monitors the closing of action points resulting from the review.
  • Prepares and controls the month-end closing procedures in line with Regional and Group reporting deadlines.
  • Performs monthly reporting of financial and non-financial information using the Group’s financial reporting system.

 

Country Management Reporting

  • Prepare Local Management Reporting (Country Reporting Package) using AFO / SAC such as full Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet overview for Local Management
  • Prepares the financial data and flash report or monthly comments with regards to the review of the KPI performance and other major events and developments.
  • Consolidate financial data from various branches / locations to prepare comprehensive financial reports.
  • Communicate financial information effectively to non-financial stakeholders within the country.

 

Controlling

  • Ensuring compliance with Group Finance requirements including adherence to the DSV Financial key controls (28key controls)
  • Helps in relation to internal control procedures with Local Finance
  • Creates SOPs for the branches / locations within the assigned country. Work towards standardizing financial processes and systems.
  • Responsible for the control environment of the handled Local Country Finance
  • Stay abreast of regional financial regulations and ensure compliance with local tax laws and reporting requirements.

 

Interdepartmental Collaboration

  • Partner with local operational teams to understand country nuances and incorporate them into financial reporting
  • Work closely with local teams to address any regional compliance issues.
  • Act as a Business Partner to the Local CFOs and RCFO.
  • Handles the Financial Audits and coordinate with external auditors for the countries under responsibility.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors for country audit.
  • Ensure all necessary documentation and schedules are available and assist in resolving audit queries

 

Qualifications & Characteristics:

  • Bachelor’s/ Master’s Degree in Accounting
  • Experience: A minimum of two (2) years in the accounting field              
  • Excellent command of English, verbal and in composing literature
  • Advanced user of MS Office
  • Demonstrates strong focus and accountability, consistently bringing tasks to completion efficiently and independently under tight deadlines.
  • Excels in high-pressure environments while maintaining effective communication with large, diverse, and multicultural audiences.
  • Proactively addresses challenges and fosters productive working relationships through networking.
  • Exhibits self-drive, motivation, and a strong sense of ownership in all responsibilities.
