Tertiary Qualification:

  • Post Grad tertiary qualification in IT or a related discipline.

 

Computer Literacy Level - Advanced

 

Additional Computer Skills

  • Experience in JIRA
  • Experience in standard Microsoft applications (Excel, Powerpoint, Office, Word)

 

Job-related Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Scrum Master
  • Experience in Agile and Scrum methodology.
  • Excellent ability to manage multiple resources across multiple teams and multiple projects running concurrently
  • Excellent communication skills to enable close collaboration with the Change Manager to communicate current status of all tasks ongoing and queued.
  • Other:
  • Good knowledge, understanding and application of SDLC
  • Drivers license, own vehicle, ability and willingness to work long hours when needed.

 

Electives

  • Previous experience in an international business environment
  • Experience in Supply Chain Management, and/or Contract Logistics
  • Experience in DevOps (nuget, bitbucket, artifactory etc)
  • Experience in knowledge management and dissemination of information

 

Main Purpose of the Role

  • Manages pulse of the overall team and assists the Change Manager in maintaining the Forward Schedule of Change and the prioritization thereof
  • Assists the Change Manager with Change Compliance
  • Manages resources in the System Analyst, Developer and Tester teams for all changes and projects in the SDLC space
  • Communicates status of all tasks (ongoing and queued) into overall team status.
  • Ownership and accountability of establishing agile values, methods, principles and practices for the delivery of projects and products.
  • A building of a self-organized team.
  • Facilitate agile ceremonies, e.g. product backlog refinement, preplanning, planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, retrospectives.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Understands all roles/characteristics of resources on team
  • Is the main point of escalation and is responsible for escalation outside the team
  • Coordinates all meetings: Sprint planning, release plan, retrospectives, demos, sprint review, daily stand-ups, etc.
  • Maintains records of current and future changes
  • Assists the Change Manager in conducting change control reviews in the IT environment
  • Communicates information about team progress to stakeholders
  • Radiates information to the team to help them make decisions
  • Coordinates all external team needs (Ops Review, Scrum of Scrums, etc)
  • Helps build self-organizing teams and helps the team adapt and inspect their process
  • Responsible for engaging necessary resources outside the team
  • Measuring and monitoring progress to ensure application releases are deployed on time and that they meet or exceed expectations
