Job Overview
The purpose of this position is to be responsible for transport planning activities. This candidate must have excellent communication and client management skills in order to maintain positive client relations. This candidate must be a self-starter, who is able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. This candidate must be a team player to ensure good working cooperation between the different Business units locally and regionally. The primary responsibility is to ensure that Land is planning and monitoring the schedule for the transport team. The planner is expected to understand the process of the Transport team and maintain communication with them. Accurate milestone reporting to the Control Tower is required. The planner is also expected to support the team to achieve and maintain the committed KPI.


Specific Accountabilities
Operations
• Using our system to plan and organize the daily schedule for the transport team.
• Actively track the team's progress and address any issues as they arise.
• Communication: Maintain open and clear communication channels with the transport team and provide them with the support they need
• Deliver accurate and timely milestone reports to the Control Tower
• Assist the team in achieving and maintaining committed performance metrics (KPIs)
• Plan and schedule daily transportation activities to meet customer delivery requirements.
• Optimize routes and vehicle utilization to improve efficiency and reduce transportation costs.
• Coordinate with drivers, subcontractors, warehouses, and customers regarding delivery schedules.
• Monitor shipment movements and address operational issues, delays, or service disruptions.
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, safety standards, and company procedures.
• Prepare and manage transport documentation, delivery schedules, and operational reports.
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, vehicle utilization, and cost per trip.
HSSE
• Ensure that HSSE guidance is followed by subcontractors and staff
• Understand the HSSE policy of the company
• Follow the HSSE policy of the company
• Report near misses to Manager / Supervisor
