Main Purpose of The Role:

Managing and pricing of shipments into and out of Africa through the DSV Global Network.

Communicating daily with clients on status of shipments.

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Freight Forwarding.

Understanding of incoterms - risk and billing purposes.

Multimodal experience is essential.

Cross Trade Knowledge is advantageous.

Ability to understand profit and loss statements.

SSA movements a big advantage (Ocean)

Qualifications: 

• Matric (essential)
• Qualification in Logistics an added advantage 

Computer packages

• Office 365 (Teams, OneNote, Forms), MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
• Cargowise understanding and previous experience would be beneficial.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Meetings with clients
• Providing estimates to clients
• Issuing of shipping instructions to the relevant network partner for movement of cargo
• Quality checking of all documents relevant to shipment as per client requirements and to ensure compliance with destination requirements.
• Monitoring of shipments for delays and communication of such nature to clients
• Issuing of Pre-alerts as per client’s requirements to relevant network partners
• Maintaining KPI’s and Data Quality standards
• Weekly tracking reports to all clients
• Invoicing as per client requirements
• Effective communication to the relevant offices / network in the event delays, customs stops, customs examination etc.
• Resolve queries in a timely manner
• Month End reporting

Other Requirements:

Ability to work under pressure

Ability to work in a team environment and also unsupervised
