Main Purpose of The Role:

To manage shipments for a portfolio of clients, from pick-up to delivery (full function). Manage handover shipments (brokerage and drawing and delivery).

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum of 6 years’ experience as an Import Controller in an Airfreight environment (full function)

Qualifications: 

Logistics or Supply Chain qualification

Computer packages

Cargowise1

Duties and Responsibilities:

Receives new orders from the Customers and arrange collection with Origin offices.

Obtain rate approval from Customers before.

Daily update to the Customers on the status of their shipments.

Take ownership of live shipments in the system.

Update the mandatory fields on the system (drop mode, estimated delivery etc)

Check accuracy of the transport documents (gross weights, number of pieces etc)

Request clearing instructions from clients.

Submit files to Brokerage for clearance.

Perform rates-checking.

Monitor and resolve any queries raised by the Brokerage team

Batch and submit the documents for OGA-detained shipments.

Arrange delivery with the Transport team.

Follow up on Invoicing.

Follow up on Profit share.

Ensure that all milestones are completed timeously.

Complete files

Register off-system files in the system.

Request pre-alerts from Agents.

Accrue the charges in the system and arrange COD payments.

Arrange drawing for Agent and/or Airline drawing

Attend operations meetings and support KAMs in the preparation of MBRs and/or QBRs.
