Minimum Requirements

Grade 12

IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations training and PSIRA Grade EDCBA essential

Intermediate computer literacy level in MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook

 

Job Related Requirements

Managing security compliment in excess of 70 employees on one site as well as a minimum 2 years experience in managing security processes for Mega Facilities in excess of 300000 square meters with multi disciplines / divisions, perimeter access and egress, vehicle tracking control room, cctv control room, distribution facilities and warehousing facilities.

  • Proven experience as a Risk Manager
  • Knowledge of risk assessment and control
  • Experience with auditing and reporting procedures
  • Familiarity with industry compliance standards and regulations (e.g. Occupational Safety and Health Act)
  • Strong computer and research skills; knowledge of analysis software is preferred (e.g. Statistical Analysis Software, or SAS)
  • Analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

 

Main purpose of the role

The purpose of risk management is to identify potential problems before they occur, or, in the case of opportunities, to try to leverage them to cause them to occur. Risk-handling activities may be invoked throughout at any time.

 

Duties and responsibilties

 

The Risk Manager will oversee the organizations comprehensive risk management program, assessing and identifying risks that could impede the reputation, safety, security, or financial success of the organization.

 

• Review and give an assessment of all suspicious security activity

• Review and maintain current specific risk programs

• Investigate potential risks and assess those risks

• Report on any risks to the risk management director
