Job Posting Title: Pricing Analyst, Air & Sea

Main Purpose of the Role 

The main purpose of the role will be reporting into the Estimates Manager and ensuring that all pricing exercises or estimates for general cargo are completed CargoWise at a high level of professionalism on all modes, both inbound and outbound.

Qualifications 

• Must have a Grade 12 / Matric or successfully complete the internal ABET assessment.
• Prefebly fluent in English (written and oral)
• Must be computer literate (Excel, Word, PowerPoint & E-mail)
• Disposition to be accurate and attention to detail
• Ability to work flexible hours, after hours and on weekends when required
• Client empathy and ability to liaise effectively and professionally with clients
•  Ability to work in an organized fashion
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to work within time constraints and reach out for escalations where required
• Punctuality and time management skills are essential elements of this position
• Ability to work under extreme pressure with minimal or no supervision

Computer Literacy Level

• Intermediate level of IT literacy.
• Need to understand Outlook and Excel and be comfortable with Google and Chrome

Additional Computer Skills 

• Need to be able to google or review Google Maps (or similar applications)
• Need to be able to comfortably work through various excel spreadsheets, comfortable to adapt to various applications and general IT knowledge.

• Must have previous Freight Forwarding experience

Duties & Responsibilities 

• Able to read rate cards and RFQ files in order to translate this into the required quotes.
• Understand general Supply Chain requests / modal requirements / incoterm knowledge and industry understanding in order to translate a client request into a formal Estimate
• Understanding various systems allocated to the Pricing Team to support the allocation / quote generation / pull rated.
• Support with the SpotQuote Global KPIs and drive proactive measures to close out KPI %
• To attend company social events as part of relationship building exercise
• To maintain an acceptable & professional dress code in line with company guidelines
• Cooperation in company meetings and share thoughts/ improvements and suggestions for the team’s greater benefit, as well as take constructive criticism and positively contribute.
