JOB DESCRIPTION
Inventory Planner Job Grade: N/A
FLSA Status: Non Exempt

Reports to: Site Lead 
Direct Reports: NoDepartment: Operations
Location: Kiryat Gat, IL 

SUMMARY

Perform inventory planning activities including material analysis and planning, consumption analysis, purchase request generation, and coordination between engineers and suppliers. Deploy planning tools to guarantee high level of customer service.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate new material sample receipt and approval
  • Coordinate material shipment to alternate sites (both domestic and international)
  • Enter various data into ERP system, Excel spreadsheets, client web portal, supplier web portal
  • Generate reports and compile data summaries
  • Track and follow-up on product orders
  • Assist with expediting product orders
  • Effectively communicate with employees throughout the organization both verbally and in writing
  • Effectively communicate with suppliers or clients both verbally and in writing
  • Inform the appropriate individuals (Buyers, Site Leads, Managers) of any issues related to material shortages that may cause an out of stock or machine down situation
  • Coordinate and perform cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure the accuracy of inventory assets
  • Maintain accurate and timely data in the ERP system
  • Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college; or related college coursework in a related discipline

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES

Computer Skills

  • Microsoft Office Suite with proficiency in Excel (able to work with pivot tables, use lookup formulas, etc.)
  • General ERP system experience

Language Skills

  • English (reading, writing and verbal)

Mathematical Skills

  • Intermediate mathematical problem solving

Other Skills

  • Knowledge of Purchasing, Inventory Control and Materials Management processes and Inventory Management methodologies
  • Strong customer service (external & internal customers) and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational & prioritization skills
  • Strong data entry skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to work well individually and in a team environment
  • Ability to understand and follow both verbal and written instructions

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Supply Chain Management degree
  • Prior planning experience in a Manufacturing setting
  • Prior experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environment
