As an Operational Controller, you will be at the forefront of driving business strategies, influencing decision-making processes, and fostering innovative solutions that enhance our groupage operations. Join our team and become a dynamic partner for the European Groupage network and the whole Road Division, guiding strategic initiatives across all levels of our organisation.

As part of the Network Team in the DSV Road division located at our headquarters in Hedehusene, you will work closely with both local colleagues and as part of a larger European team. We are a diverse group of specialists with varied backgrounds, both operational and technically qualified. 

 

Help build a better Groupage Transport Network.

 

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to shape international network projects and improve existing and new networks. As an Operational Controller, you will lead efforts to analyze and control logistics processes, ensuring the highest quality standards are met. Your work will challenge country teams to enhance their KPIs and achieve operational excellence.

 

 

Your tasks will include:

  • Oversee and control financial and operational aspects of the Groupage network, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and objectives.
  • Implement and monitor quality control measures across the network to ensure optimal performance and compliance with our strategy.
  • Lead meetings, calls and discussions with country teams to review their KPIs, providing insights and guidance to improve performance and align with DSV's strategic objectives.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to develop and refine network KPIs, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of the European Groupage landscape and customer expectations.
  • Serve as a critical liaison for our European clusters and country organisations, fostering strong network connections and facilitating effective communication.

 

 

A Strategic and Analytical Professional with a Focus on Excellence

 

The ideal candidate has a degree in logistics, business intelligence, or a related field, with a strong focus on controlling and quality assurance. They are a proactive team player who thrives in a dynamic environment and is driven to solve complex challenges.

 

In addition to these qualities, we are looking for a candidate with the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, business intelligence, or a related field, or substantial experience in the freight forwarding industry.
  • Strong expertise in controlling and quality assurance, with the ability to challenge and guide country teams to improve their performance.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with a keen eye for detail, ready to tackle complex challenges and improve existing processes.
  • Advanced proficiency in data processing using MS Excel or BI tools, with experience working with Transport Management Systems.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with fluency in English, both written and spoken. Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
  • Confidence in leading presentations and meetings, with a commanding presence in fact-based discussions.
  • A self-starter who is meticulous, structured, and a collaborative team player, fitting seamlessly into DSV's dynamic culture.
  • Willingness to engage in project-related travel and demonstrate flexibility and commitment to your role.
