As the Key Account Manager, you will take on an account management role to support and expand business within our key accounts.  
You will be responsible for specific accounts, and work with sales team to ensure collaboration with the operational teams to ensure quality execution, high customer service levels and profitability of the assigned key accounts.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be part of an account focused cross-functional team that proactively participates in the account planning, sales support & delivery process.
  • Support all aspects of the account relationship as a primary point of contact for customers.
  • Work with sales team to execute account strategies to expand the range and the quantity of services of specific customers.
  • Collaborate with operations team to ensure quality service to customers.
  • Work with DSV across the globe to coordinate account activities and create custom solutions that deliver value to customers.
  • Maintain and grow margins (rates and operating costs).
  • Support communication strategy within accounts.
  • Leverage company resources to assist in developing accounts.
  • Develop relevant internal and external metrics to measure performance.
  • Participate in the organization of customer forums and related events.
     

Job Requirements:

  • 8+ years of industry experience, ideally with a minimum of 3 years of account management experience. 

  • Candidates from customer service / operations backgrounds will be considered.

  • Excellent communication skills, with customer-oriented mindset.

  • Strong sales support skills and ability to follow through on leads.

  • Work well in a global environment where customer business can span multiple continents.

  • Good business acumen to analyze financial information and deal with complexity.

  • Self-motivated, independent and responsible.

  • Proficiency in English is essential; fluency in Chinese an advantage.
