Summary

At DSV Road Transport, the Owner Operator Recruiter, will be responsible for identifying, recruiting, and helping retain qualified owner operators to join our fleet. You will play a crucial role on the DSV team, ensuring that we maintain a reliable and skilled team of Owner Operators and Lease Purchase Operators.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Source, interview, and recruit CDL owner operators and potential Lease Purchase through various channels including online platforms, referrals, job fairs, and networking events.
  • Evaluate applicants' qualifications, driving records, and experience to determine suitability for DSV's standards and requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with potential candidates to provide information about DSV Road Transport, opportunities, and contractual terms.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to forecast needs and develop recruitment strategies to attract and retain qualified owner operators.
  • Coordinate and conduct orientation sessions and onboarding processes for new owner operators.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of recruiting activities, applicant flow, and hiring results.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor practices, and regulatory changes affecting owner operators.
  • Build and maintain relationships with owner operators to ensure high levels of engagement, satisfaction, and retention.

Educational background / Work experience / Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a recruiter in the transportation industry, preferably in CDL owner operator recruitment.
  • In-depth knowledge of DOT regulations and requirements pertaining to CDL owner operators.
  • Strong understanding of the logistics and transportation industry, including market trends and challenges.
  • High school diploma or GED required.

 

Language Skills

  • Business fluent in English
  • Bi-lingual is a plus.
  • Preferably good command of local language

 

Computer Literacy

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and others)

 

Physical and/or Mental Requirements / Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand.  The employee is often required to walk and use hand and eye coordination.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.   

 

Work Hours and Environment

Normal working hours for this position are Monday – Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, however, working beyond these hours will often be required by business needs. 

 

For this position, the expected base pay is: $27.00- $36.50/ Hourly.  Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, geographical location, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
