Summary

At DSV Road Transport, the Internal Marketing Intern supports the marketing and business development efforts by assisting with marketing initiatives that promote the company’s logistics and transportation services, including LTL, LTL Express, Intermodal, and Road+ warehousing solutions. This role provides hands-on experience in internal marketing strategy, content development, campaign coordination, and market research within the transportation and supply chain industry.

 

The Internal Marketing Intern works closely with the marketing, sales, and operations teams to help develop internal marketing materials, support digital efforts, analyze market trends, and assist with initiatives that enhance internal brand visibility and support customer acquisition and retention.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assists in the development and coordination of marketing initiatives supporting LTL, LTL Express, Intermodal, and warehouse logistics services.
  • Supports the creation of internal marketing materials including presentations, brochures, sales collateral, and digital content.
  • Conducts market and competitor research within the transportation and logistics industry to identify trends and growth opportunities.
  • Supports internal marketing campaigns designed to increase brand awareness and support customer acquisition efforts.
  • Assists with the preparation of marketing reports, analytics summaries, and campaign performance tracking.
  • Works with internal stakeholders including Operations, Sales, and Leadership to gather information needed for internal marketing initiatives.
  • Provides administrative and project support to the operations team on ongoing initiatives and special projects.
  • Learns and supports the company’s value proposition across transportation solutions including LTL freight, expedited shipping, intermodal transportation, and warehouse-integrated logistics solutions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Education & Experience

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Interest in marketing, logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations.
  • Prior internship, campus organization involvement, or marketing-related experience preferred but not required.
  • Experience using design and presentation tools such as Canva, PowerPoint, or similar platforms to develop professional-quality materials, presentations, and visual content.

 

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Basic knowledge of marketing principles and digital marketing platforms.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical mindset with ability to interpret basic marketing metrics and research findings.
  • Creative thinking with an interest in brand development and marketing strategy.

 

Physical Demands

The position requires the ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods of time. The role may also involve occasional standing, walking, or movement within an office or operational facility. From time to time, the individual may be required to lift up to 20 pounds when assisting with marketing materials or event preparation.

 

Work Environment

Work is performed primarily in an office environment with regular collaboration across operational and sales teams. The role may occasionally involve visits to warehouse or operational facilities to support marketing initiatives or gain exposure to operational processes. The work environment typically includes moderate noise levels consistent with a professional office setting.

For this position, the base pay is $20.00 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors, including relevant experience, skills, education or certifications, and geographic location, consistent with applicable laws and company policy.
