Summary

At DSV Road, the Internal Communication Assistant supports the development and execution of internal communication and marketing initiatives that promote the organization’s services, capabilities, and strategic priorities across Road and Road Transport. This role assists with the creation of internal communication materials, presentations, and messaging that help ensure alignment across operational, sales, and leadership teams.

 

The Internal Communications Assistant works closely with marketing, sales, and operations stakeholders to develop internal communication content, coordinate communication initiatives, support campaign execution, and assist with research and analysis that supports internal engagement and business initiatives.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Supports the development and coordination of internal communication and marketing initiatives that promote company services, programs, and strategic initiatives across the organization.
  • Assists in the creation of internal communication materials including presentations, internal announcements, informational documents, sales collateral, and digital content used by operational and commercial teams.
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders including Operations, Sales, and Leadership to gather information and develop materials that communicate organizational initiatives, programs, and updates.
  • Supports internal campaigns and communication initiatives designed to increase awareness of company services, capabilities, and strategic priorities.
  • Conducts market and competitor research within the transportation and logistics industry to help identify trends and support communication strategies.
  • Assists with the preparation of reports, analytics summaries, and internal updates related to communication initiatives and campaign performance.
  • Provides project coordination and administrative support for communication initiatives, business development efforts, and other special projects.
  • Supports the communication of the company’s value proposition and operational capabilities across Road and Road Transport.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
  • 1–2+ years of experience in communications, marketing, administrative support, or a related business function preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations highly preferred.
  • Experience creating professional presentations, communication materials, or internal documentation using tools such as Canva, PowerPoint, or similar platforms preferred.

 

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate information to internal audiences.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Basic understanding of communication, marketing, or internal engagement strategies.
  • Intermediate to Advanced Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Experience using design and presentation tools such as Canva or similar platforms to develop professional-quality materials.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment with operations, sales, and leadership teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret basic metrics and research findings.
  • Creative thinking with an interest in brand development and internal communications.

 

Physical Demands

The position requires the ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods of time. The role may also involve occasional standing, walking, or movement within an office or operational facility. From time to time, the individual may be required to lift up to 20 pounds when assisting with marketing materials or event preparation.

 

Work Environment

Work is performed primarily in an office environment with regular collaboration across operational and sales teams. This role may occasionally involve visits to warehouse or operational facilities to support marketing initiatives or gain exposure to operational processes. The work environment typically includes moderate noise levels consistent with a professional office setting.

 

For this position, the expected base pay range is $22.00 - $26.00 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors, including relevant experience, skills, education or certifications, and geographic location, consistent with applicable laws and company policy. This position is eligible for a Business Development commission plan.
