SUMMARY

DSV is growing rapidly, and we are scaling our E-Commerce team to meet the growing demands of our business. The Vice President of E-Commerce Strategy & Operations serves as a strategic business partner within the Executive Team as the E-Commerce Product development leader.  Responsible for supporting E-Commerce operations and driving the development of the E-Commerce Vertical. Responsible for supporting DSV Solutions strategy including growth and transformational initiatives.   Develops E-Commerce strategies to align with DSV’s enterprise, sales and financial targets.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • End-to-end perspective; leading the design and execution of DSV’s  E-Commerce strategy, development of DSV’s  E-Commerce roadmap through a full lifecycle implementation program; emphasis for this role is the overall strategy development and the operational model to support the E-Commerce channel
  • Ensures operational excellence with the green field and brown field implementation of E-Commerce solutions within and across our core services. 
  • Ensures operational excellence through standardization of existing practices, risk assessment and review of key metrics.
  • Drive weekly cross-functional team meetings to provide project updates alongside key sales & marketing metrics.
  • Regularly communicate with the Executive Team to discuss strengths, opportunities, and emerging trends in business.
  • Monitor the success and measure the results of the team's efforts including tracking sales and revenue, monitoring E-Commerce lines, sales performance, and ensuring online products and campaigns are highly searchable and converting.
  • Create and deploy sales & marketing plans, informed by data, to support overall revenue-driving E-Commerce e strategies.Plans 
  • Plans and budget regional financial targets.  Responsible for ensuring results are achieved against targets.   
  • Contributes as a key member to our sales and solutions team in winning key strategic accounts.
  • Develops and implements an operations strategy tailored to our client that identifies opportunities to improve cost control, EBIT improvement and will lead to organic growth.
  • Strong critical thinking, presentation, written and verbal communication skills; strong ability to review, edit and create business development and project related artifacts.
  • Travel may be up to 35%, as needed for business

 

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or Logistics or equivalent fields is required
  • Minimum of 10 years logistics operations management experience with big box", E-Commerce or specialty retailers and at least 5 years’ E-Commerce experience

 

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES

  • Experience with E-Commerce platforms
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office applications is needed.
  • Working knowledge of industry WMS

 

Language Skills

  • English (reading, writing, and verbal)

 

Mathematical Skills

  • Intermediate mathematical, accounting, and financial skills

 

Other Skills

  • Excellent verbal, written and visual/presentation communication skills.
  • Results-oriented and able to work and meet timelines.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and multi-task. Demonstrated ability to work in a complex matrix environment across multiple levels within the organization.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Third-party logistics experience is preferred but not required.
  • Involvement in relevant professional organizations is desirable
