SUMMARY

The Extruder Operator is responsible for the proper operation of the machinery and equipment used on his/her line for the manufacture of our products and services.  The Extruder Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining the extrusion process, process documentation, and quality of the product in accordance to procedures and/or written work instructions, and to comply with the requirements of the Quality, Safety, and Environmental Systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Providing assistance to the Blending personnel and be qualified in blending, assist in the training new blend operators as required
  • Responsible for maintaining the line’s extrusion process at SOC to ensure a quality product
  • Maintaining accurate and complete process documentation.
  • Maintaining equipment in good working order.  No broken equipment without known status and follow-up at all times
  • Responsible for segregating non-standard product during the process in accordance with the Quality system
  • Responsible for own safety and the safety/housekeeping of designated area
  • Participating in safety audits
  • Complying with safety procedures, practices, and policies
  • Performing miscellaneous duties as directed by Supervisor or Management
  • Must be qualified in packout and assist in the training of new employees as required
