The CSR / Shipping Clerk is responsible for carrying out all customer service activities in a prompt and courteous manner.




  • Processing orders following customer requirements
  • Responding to PASA Sales inquiries and special requests
  • Communicate complaints to members of management
  • Advise management of special requirement or requests from customer that may affect / impact the operation (cost, quality, and or safety)
  • Communicate to warehouse leads / supervisor any changes to load status required by PASA
  • Work alongside hourly associates, team leaders and supervisor to establishing a reasonable time frame for load preparation and or material shipping.    
  • Schedule special carriers when required
  • Answering phones, assist with overseeing floor activities
  • Assisting with any clerical and floor duties management requires




  • Performs other duties as required
  • Able to work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends, as required by the operation. Participate in established cross training metrics activities with the opportunity to improve their knowledge in multiple areas / departments and be able to assist as a backup when the need may rise. 




Customer service Process all orders to meet customer specific requirements (window times and paperwork).  Trace any shipments as required. Transmit ASNs timely and accurately.  Conduct yourself in a professional manner in appearance and communication at all times with internal and external customers.


Customer Interfacing Activities  Maintain a good working relationship with internal and external customers by responding to all inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner. Report customer feedback to management, including signs of customer dissatisfaction.  Act as a liaison between PASA Sales Team and The Los Indios Distribution Center.  Work with team leaders and supervisors to maintain good working relations with warehouse associates. 


Clerical Oversee all paperwork associated with orders and maintain the corresponding files.  Maintain current and accurate procedures.  Answer phone calls and operate various types of machinery and computers to perform duties. 


Communication Participate in CSR meeting.  Proof all written communication to ensure accuracy before submitting.  Transmit e-mails to customer as required in a professional manner.  Establish and conduct constant communication with the team leader / supervisor regarding any type of modifications to daily activities.   


Reporting Prepare any reports concerning clerical and floor activities as required by management. Assist with any other clerical functions as directed by management.


Responsibility and Authority Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities relating to product, process, and quality system; to identify and record any problems relating to the product, process, and quality system; to initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channels.


Labor management Any labor management recommendations will be communicated to the team leader / supervisor for review.  Any and all decision regarding labor management will be made by department supervisor.  Shipping Clerk will recommend to team leader / supervisor that the crew is scheduled accordingly in order to finish the desired workload without incurring overtime.  


Housekeeping Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area.  Perform housekeeping, quality and safety audits per operation requirements to include the rack / aisle maintenance program.


Miscellaneous Participate in startup, staff and other internal meetings as required.  Assist supervision as needed to include cycle count, inventory, quality, housekeeping, maintenance and any other assigned duties. Develop PC skills through use of e-mail, internet, C-Core, Word, Excel and performing any reports as required.  Conduct yourself in a professional manner in appearance and communications at all times. 







Education and/or Experience


  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • 1-3 years of experience preferred
  • General office experience in a customer service environment is required.  Effective communication skills written / oral and skill in operating office machines and PCs are necessary.

English (reading, writing, and verbal)
