Move forward as Freight Forwarder Ocean at DSV in Maastricht Airport

As a freight forwarder within our ocean freight department in Maastricht Airport, you will work daily with your own international key accounts. Of course, your colleagues will fully train you to support these customers in their ocean freight shipments. From request to invoice, you are responsible for the entire process.

You are the fixed point of contact for your customers. You coordinate their shipments from A to Z and collaborate daily with colleagues in Maastricht Airport, Dordrecht and international DSV locations. Thanks to your commitment and overview, every transport process runs smoothly and efficiently: you’re on it.

How you do this? You are the key link in organising and coordinating ocean freight shipments. You maintain daily contact with customers, shipping lines and international colleagues, ensuring that the entire transport process runs smoothly. You always keep an overview and make sure everything from booking to invoicing is handled correctly and on time. You achieve this by:

• independently processing and following up transport requests, including booking shipments and preparing quotations;
• managing customer files and proactively informing customers about shipment status;
• processing and checking documents in the system and coordinating with shipping lines and (inter)national colleagues;
• organising pre- and on-carriage transport and handling related customs documentation and invoicing.

Your team stands out within DSV because of your strong collaboration. You will join a team with extensive experience. With your eagerness to learn and drive, your colleagues will train you within a few months to become a specialist in ocean freight.

You bring

• mbo+ working and thinking level, preferably with a degree in transport and logistics;
• relevant experience in logistics, such as ocean or air freight, and the ability to coordinate complex shipments efficiently;
• commercial awareness, strong prioritisation skills and the ability to work in a dynamic environment with multiple systems;
• good command of both Dutch and English, spoken and written
