Move forward as Freight Forwarder Airfreight Perishables at DSV in Machelen
As a Freight Forwarder Airfreight Perishables, you support our airfreight export team in handling time-sensitive and temperature-controlled shipments.
From fresh fruit to live animals, every shipment requires precise coordination and attention to detail, especially during the weekend shift.

You'll work within our specialized perishables team, where no two shipments are alike. With your structured approach, flexibility, and eye for quality, you help ensure smooth transport operations for highly sensitive goods.

Tasks: 

• Creating and following up airfreight import shipments in our Transport Management System (TMS);
• Coordinating the planning of shipments with subcontractors and other DSV departments;
• Preparing and verifying all transport-related documentation (e.g. air waybills, commercial invoices, health certificates);
• Collaborate closely with FAVV and customs departments;
• Ensuring accurate invoicing and maintaining data quality;
• Assisting with customer communication and proactively reporting shipment deviations;
• Handling administrative follow-up of customs formalities in collaboration with the customs team;
• Working in close contact with the MAGIS team and adhering to all safety and security regulations.

You bring

• Initial experience in freight forwarding (preferably airfreight) or a degree in transport & logistics;
• You’re available to work in the weekend shift (two weekends/month) and have no problem with flexible hours;
• Good knowledge of Dutch, French, and English;
• Drivers license B;
• You’re stress-resistant, precise, and take initiative in solving issues;
