The DSV Lead Logistics (LLP) Business Change Manager focuses on overseeing change projects, system and business enhancement implementations while developing, coordinating and providing necessary training to ensure successful delivery of a project. The Business Change Manager is responsible for supporting new customer implementations and system implementations for mid-to large scale projects for DSV LLP, with a focus on Change Management initiatives and facilitation. This position will participate in defining business requirements, clarifying technical requirements, engage business users in capturing use cases, workflows, requirements, and map current and future state process flows. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Participate in the Solution Design process for new client implementations, internal process improvements including but not limited to customer or internal stakeholder change requests, strategic roadmap activities and software changes.
  • Successfully performs the three phases of a change project: Preparing, Managing and Reinforcing change, with a focus on change management strategies, communication and implementation plans, coaching and training plans, as well as resistance management and corrective action planning, to name a few.
  • Triaging incoming systems issues from end users (internal and external) to determine if further training is needed, change request is needed or if further technical support is needed.
  • Gathers appropriate details, is able to assess business impact and appropriately escalates on behalf of business when IT support is needed upon receipt of incident requests within the ticketing system.
  • Serve as the liaison between all functional groups including IT, Engineering, Operations, as well as external client teams
  • Perform organizational and change assessments to prepare the project team and plan for the expected impact of the proposed changes.
  • Ability to support various size projects utilizing project management tools, processes and concepts to communicate to various levels of the organization.
  • Leverages best practices in the gathering and documentation of business, functional, and non-functional requirements for solutions that may span multiple business areas by partnering with Business, IT, Operations, Finance and other stakeholders.
  • Aids in the creation and evolution of applications, systems and processes toward desired state functionality through deep understanding of current state, future state and impact on existing processes.
  • Supports solution design and execution through active collaboration with project, business, IT and support teams, facilitate translation of business requirements into system impacts and participate in impact analysis of proposed system changes.
  • Proactively manages changes in project scope or schedule and assess their impact on budgets, business processes or other initiatives.
  • Elicit requirements using interviews and workshops, document analysis and business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, tasks and workflows.
  • Creates and distributes documentation as needed: Functional requirements, Business Requirements, Use Cases, End-to-End testing documents, Mock-up Diagrams, Data Flow Diagrams, Project Plans, as well as SOP and IOP material.
  • Ensures adequate user acceptance testing (UAT) for new capabilities and solutions.
  • Introduces best practice and process improvement ideas wherever appropriate.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

 

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain/Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field, or experience in lieu of education.
  • 2 years of experience as a Change Consultant, Logistics Analyst, Control Tower Specialist Business Change Specialist, Business Analyst or a related field.
  • Project Management Experience Preferred

 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Professional Designations

  • Prosci ADKAR change management certification or knowledge ideal

 

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES

 

Computer Skills

  • Blue Yonder Transportation Management System (TMS) experience
  • Preferred experience with DSV EDC/SCM Order Management
  • Microsoft Office 360 Suite – incl. Outlook, Excel, Visio, Word, Power Point, Teams, OneNote.
  • Familiar with IT workflow tools including Jira and Confluence

 

Language Skills

  • Excellent verbal, written, reading and communication skills in English required

 

Mathematical Skills

  • Intermediate

 

Other Skills

  • Demonstrated ability to manage/prioritize multiple projects and tasks concurrently.
  • Knowledge of and experience following industry standard best practices in change management, process mapping and business analysis.
  • Experience with executive and cross-functional presentations and communication.
  • Strong analytical, technical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience and proven ability to perform process mapping of current and future state.
  • Keen understanding of Transportation Management Systems (TMS), and how different 3rd party and internal systems interact (via EDI, API, etc.) to function efficiently.

  • Displays flexibility and creativity in problem solving and meeting work assignments while ensuring compliance with DSV policies and procedures.
  • Exhibits excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills, and ability to handle multiple concurrent projects.
  • Self-starter, assertive, independent and can work without close supervision on multiple concurrent projects.
  • A deep understanding of the process of identifying and clarifying business requirements is desired, as well as innate talents around investigating and organizing business requirements.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with key business and technology partners.
  • Must be a team player with outstanding interpersonal skills and possess an ability to communicate both verbally and in writing at various levels of the organization and across various groups.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee uses his/her hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, or crouch; talk or hear.  The employee uses computer and telephone equipment.  The employee also regularly lifts and/or moves objects up to 10 pounds.  Specific vision requirements of this job include close vision and distance vision.  Must be able to travel by plane and automobile.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee rarely is exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
