ICC Operations Assistant

Wythenshawe

Mon-Friday  2pm-10pm and occasional Saturday

Main Purpose of the role

DSV are recruiting for the role of ICC Operations, overseeing all International Import, Export & UK Domestic Inbound & Outbound transport movements for our Depot in Wythenshawe

The role will include checking documentation of import arrivals, create documentation or export trailer leaving the UK. As well as ensuring all HMRC documents are prepared correctly and that the depots receive clear instruction on cargo when it is released.

What will you be doing?

• Communicate effectively with internal colleagues and customers around documentation. This will involve the use of IT to interface with HMRC systems and monitor the clearance status of shipments. 
• Maintaining records of clearance, being organised and accurate with all systems are essential requirements.
• Prepare correct documentation to the Warehouse/Haulage/Distribution/Shipping department for loading/offloading cargo to vehicles, in a timely manner
• Ensure legislative compliance in all areas.  
• Ensure that the company operates within all agreed operational procedures, and within statutory requirements including the provision and maintenance of a safe working environment.  
• Maintain awareness of and follow transport (and H.M. Customs) regulations, where relevant, to conform to all statutory requirements. 

About You

• Excellent IT skills 
• Good communication skills with colleagues and external customers 
• Preferably some knowledge of Customs processes or systems 
• Ability to add extra quality to our already highly focused and efficient team.
• Be able to work under pressure 
• Have great attention to detail
