Purpose of the role

 

The position is established as the 4PL Control Tower Operational Staff for one of the world’s largest sporting brands. DSV Lead Logistics, as extended arm of customers supply chain, manages global air freight, ocean freight, road freight, sea/air and Sea/Rail flows as well as local on-carriage plus destination customs clearance and in DC intake planning execution for this global key account.

 

This role covers the Logistics Execution function part of the global control tower teams based in centralized global shared service center locations.

 

The 4PL Control Tower Operational Staff is based in DSV’s Shared Service Center Manila and has a direct reporting line into the 4PL Control Tower Team Leader.

  10. Container Load Plan Creation
  11. Sailing/Flight Schedule**
  12. Ocean Carrier Booking & SI & VGM
  13. Air Carrier Booking & SI
  14. Road and Rail Booking & SI
  15. Delay in Transit
  16. FCR Creation & Issuance
  17. Vendor Document Check & Follow up
  18. LSP Document Check & Follow up
  19. Data Validation
  20. Trigger COMASN
  21. Quality and compliance responsibilities under NDA / attention given to predetermined processes, SOPs

 

Travel Requirements

Function - / Market & Industry knowledge / Business Acumen / Process working

  • Basic business understanding
  • Understanding of logistics and supply chain management advantageous
  • Experience with the use of web-based systems and MS Office in general

Educational background / Work experience

  • Commercial / forwarding business education or work experience
  • Work experience in Service Center or Freight Forwarding
  • Minimum 5 years work experience

 

Language skills

  • Fluent in English is mandatory (written and spoken)
  • Local language

 

Computer Literacy

  • Good Know How in MS-Office applications  
  • Good Know How in web-based applications / Internet
  • Knowledge in Supply Chain Applications is a plus

 

Decision Making Authority

  • Self-organization of the own working space and the tasks assigned under the operational requirements
  • Responsible delegating of various tasks within the area of responsibility
