DSV Air & Sea  is seeking to hire a skilled and passionate Freight Forwarder, Transport in Melbourne.

 

The position is responsible for arranging and directing the domestic transportation of international shipments of products both inbound and outbound by compiling, completing and verifying the necessary forms and in accordance with company policy and procedure.

 

Your typical day at DSV:

  • Meet customer delivery expectations by adhering to SOPs, milestones, and KPI deadlines.
  • Maximize profitability by accurately processing transport jobs in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Plan and prioritize shipment deliveries using the Transport Workbench to meet KPIs and deadlines.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and service providers.
  • Provide accurate and timely information to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Resolve transport-related issues (e.g., documentation, load size, space availability) and calculate cost implications.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to create innovative solutions and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Enter data into CW1 or Tango accurately and on time.

 

About you:

  • Strong communicator with the ability to influence, present clearly, and challenge ideas constructively.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy, meeting deadlines, and following procedures.
  • Confident and resilient, with a proactive mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Skilled in problem-solving, data interpretation, and documentation.
  • Proven experience in Freight Forwarding (Air & Sea) or Transportation.
  • Proficiency in CargoWise One or Tango system is preffered.
