DSV Solutions  is seeking to hire a skilled and passionate VAL Operator Specialist, Logistics in Melbourne. 

 

The position is responsible for managing inventory using a computerised database system. The primary objective will be to liaise with customers regarding stock levels ensuring they maintain adequate levels of stock to meet daily demands. Overseeing the flow of inventory in and out of the warehouse, which covers a variety of tasks, such as ordering, delivering, loading, shipment, maintenance and storage.

 

Your typical day at DSV:

  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure accurate stock availability and timely replenishment.

  • Maintain up-to-date inventory records, conduct cycle counts, and investigate stock discrepancies.

  • Coordinate the movement of stock in and out of the warehouse, including processing orders and preparing shipments.

  • Respond to customer and supplier inquiries, providing updates and resolving any inventory-related issues.

  • Analyse inventory data to identify trends, support reporting, and recommend improvements for efficiency.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to align stock levels with operational and production requirements.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse accuracy and reduce costs.

 

About you:

  • High attention to detail with strong data accuracy and record-keeping skills.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability, especially in inventory management.

  • Confident communicator who can liaise effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.

  • Ability to prioritise tasks, manage time efficiently, and work under pressure.

  • Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment, with exposure to inventory control systems.
