DSV Air & Sea is seeking to hire a skilled and passionate Procurement Specialist in Melbourne or Sydney.

 

The position is responsible for supporting the Manager, Sea Freight Procurement, Oceania. Providing support to the branches and commercial team with freight, space protection, carrier issues etc. Ensure DSV rates are saved and available in rate management system for global access. This role is responsible for different kinds of administrative functions essential for the support of DSV Sea Freight Procurement. 

 

Your typical day at DSV:

 

    System Updates into DSV Portal.
    Manage all Oceania enquires that pertain to carrier escalations.
    Preparing monthly, weekly, or daily global and local reports in relation to market fluctuations and in conjunction with Oceania Procurement Manager.
    Process inquires by phone, email regarding procurement & service, ensuring timelines are met.
    Ensure all pricing is up to date and recorded in the company’s database according to company procedures.
    Provide accurate information pertaining to support local and Global RFQs within the required time frame.
    Ensure national buys rates to support the RFQs/Tenders are kept up to date.
    Ensure detention and local shipping line rates are kept updated on DSV Central.
    Support commercial team with reporting and preparation of proposal (as required), procurement of local rates and services. 
    Ensure notifications are kept up to date in DSV Central and all urgent information is communicated to staff in a timely manner.

 

About You:

 

- Experience in, procurement, sales coordination, international freight operation or customer service functions.

- Experience with MS Office, CargoWise One and Power BI software solutions and large, complex organisations.

- Extensive experience in all aspects of international logistics processes and a strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
