Summary
The Accountant at DSV will lead and manage financial activities to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data within the transportation and logistics industry. This role involves developing financial strategies, overseeing financial reporting, and providing expert advice to management on financial matters.

Duties and Responsibilities
•    Lead the preparation and analysis of financial statements and reports.
•    Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations.
•    Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes.
•    Advise management on financial performance, trends, and projections.
•    Formulate financial strategies to support the company's business objectives.
•    Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits.
•    Analyze financial data to identify areas for improvement and cost reduction.
•    Direct efforts to optimize accounting systems and processes.
•    Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and recommend improvements.

Educational background / Work experience
•    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
•    CPA certification preferred.
•    Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably within the transportation and logistics industry.
•    Proven track record of leading successful financial initiatives and strategies.

Skills & Competencies
•    Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
•    Excellent leadership and management abilities.
•    High level of expertise in financial analysis and reporting.
•    Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications
•    Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).

Language skills
•    Fluent in English (oral and written)

Computer Literacy
•    Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
•    Proficiency in accounting software and financial analysis tools.
•    Familiarity with business intelligence tools and data visualization platforms.

For this position, the expected base pay range is $56,000 – $76,500/Annual. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
