SUMMARY

The JR Planner is responsible for supporting the planning and purchasing departments by performing activities that expedite the material purchase and receipt process. Perform inventory planning activities including dispositioning receiving exceptions, managing repair loops, and working with the purchasing assistant /expeditor to manage e-part and machine down orders. The JR Planner also supports the department with database accuracy projects as required.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Generates reports in ERP system and exports to Excel, reviews and analyzes data and responds accordingly

• Processes and coordinates inventory transfers, which may include preparing shipping documents, gathering customs information and communication with supplier
• Researches and dispositions receiving exceptions

• Monitors back orders and places purchase requisitions and transfer requests as necessary

• Works with purchasing expeditor to monitor and report on expedite shipments

• Coordinates and performs cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure the accuracy of inventory assets

• Collaborates with warehouse, shipping/receiving staff to process material returns/repairs, which may include packing, preparing material for shipment and communication with supplier
• Informs the appropriate individuals (buyers, site leads, managers) of any issues related to material shortages that may cause an out of stock or machine down situation

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

 

Education and/or Experience

  • High school Diploma or GED from an accredited school
  • One (1) year of Industry experience in a direct or cross functional capacity

 

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES

 

  • Effective written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills
  • Strong customer service (internal and external) and vendor relations skills
  • Self-motivated, energetic, and able to perform with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work as a team member and foster a cooperative work environment while also being an individual contributor
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to organize and prioritize a variety of tasks, projects and deadlines
  • Operates standard office equipment efficiently

 

Computer Skills

  • Intermediate level in Microsoft Office Suite with demonstrated proficiency in Excel (ability to work with pivot tables, lookup formulas, charts, graphs, etc.)
  • ERP System Experience

 

Language Skills

English (verbal, reading, writing)

 

Mathematical Skills

Intermediate

 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

•Inventory Planning Experience in a Manufacturing setting
•Experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environment
