Summary

 

DSV is seeking a Project Director to oversee and manage business process re-engineering works directly aligned to the commercial strategy and technology investment plan for the Inventory Management solution (IMS) unit.

 

The incumbent will be responsible for the successful execution of projects from the start to finish by maintaining a high standard of the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) disciplines and collaborating with cross functional operations resources – ultimately, measured based on the committed project ROI.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement project plans, including scope, timeline, resource, and budget.
  • Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure project goals are met.
  • Communicate project updates and status reports to stakeholders, including clients, senior management, and project team members.
  • Manage project risks and issues and develop contingency plans as necessary.
  • Manage project resources, including staff, equipment, and materials, to ensure they are available when needed.
  • Oversee project quality assurance and ensure deliverables meet the client's expectations.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to project managers and other team members.
  • Collaborate with other departments within the organization to ensure projects are completed smoothly and efficiently.
  • Work closely with sales and business development teams to prepare targeted marketing materials and campaigns.
  • Conduct market research and analyze customer data to identify trends and opportunities.

 

Educational background / Work experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field. A Master's degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 15+ years of experience in project management in the business domains of vendor managed inventory planning, procurement, sourcing, and/or transportation.
  • Proven track record of managing end-to-end supply chain projects (Plan-Source-Make-Store-Deliver-Enable), from conception to completion.
  • Experience in managing customer facing product and service development projects working with sales and/or marketing functions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP certification or other relevant project management certification.
  • Experience in international logistics and transportation.
  • Experience working with warehouse and distribution management systems.

Computer Literacy

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience working with project management software, such as MS Project or Smartsheet.

For this position, the expected base pay is: $166,000 - $249,500/ Annual.  Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
