Customs Assistant

As a Customs Assistant, you’ll be responsible for preparing and managing customs declarations (Export/Import/Transit), Intrastat filings, and authorization processes (POA), while supporting fiscal representation-related financial settlements within DSV's Global/International Shared Service Center. Acts as a point of contact for DSV branches and internal customers, handling inquiries, ensuring compliance with customs and tax regulations, and contributing to the continuous improvement and automation of team processes.

Task and Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process customs declarations, Intrastat filings, and related documentation accurately and within required timelines.
  • Obtain, verify, and maintain the necessary customs and tax information and documentation.
  • Respond to inquiries from DSV branches and customers, providing timely operational support.
  • Ensure proper documentation, data entry, archiving, and compliance with applicable procedures and regulations.
  • Identify and report operational issues and support their resolution.
  • Participate in process optimization, standardization, and automation initiatives.
  • Support the onboarding and training of new team members and share knowledge with colleagues.
  • Participate in team and operational meetings and contribute to achieving team objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with DSV policies, procedures, quality standards, and applicable legal requirements.Promote a collaborative and professional working environment aligned with DSV Values.

Education And Skills

  • Higher education preferred (faculties: Customs, Transport, Logistics, Law, Administration or related).
  • Knowledge of the English language at min. B2 level.
  • Knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Ability to work under time pressure and prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to cooperate and communicate effectively in an international environment.
  • Ability to analyze and present data.
  • Willingness to learn, develop, and share knowledge with team members.

Minimal Work Requirements

  • Preferably at least one year of experience in the subject area (logistics and customs).
