Senior IT Specialist – BY WMS Contract Logistics IT

Main Summary

We are looking for a Senior IT Specialist with strong development experience to support the design, development, and enhancement of warehouse management system (WMS) solutions.  This role will primarily focus on software development and technical solution design within Blue Yonder WMS, supporting global warehouse operations and business requirements.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, and enhance solutions within Blue Yonder WMS – Discrete (formerly JDA / RedPrairie).
• Design and implement new technical solutions based on operational and business requirements.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to validate requirements and propose alternative solutions when needed.
• Develop custom functionality using MOCA framework.
• Build and maintain integrations, including EDI interfaces with external systems.
• Work with SQL databases for development, troubleshooting, and data analysis.
• Support the continuous improvement of existing WMS solutions.
• Collaborate with internal IT teams and stakeholders across regions including North America and other global teams

Minimal Requirements & Work Experience

• Around 5+ years of relevant experience in IT development or technical roles.
• Experience working with Blue Yonder WMS – Discrete is strongly preferred.
• Strong experience in software development.
• Solid programming experience in .NET (highly preferred).
• Knowledge of Java is a plus but not critical.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Hands-on experience with MOCA framework.
• Experience with EDI integrations is required.
• Candidates with experience in Blue Yonder Dispatcher may also be considered, as this knowledge can be valuable for future system capabilities.
• Experience translating business requirements into technical development solutions.
