SUMMARY

Core Purpose and Essence of the Position: The Customer Service Agent is responsible for carrying out all customer service activities such as responding to inquiries, processing orders, and handling complaints, in a prompt courteous and effective manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Client Relations

  • Respond to Customer inquiries, complaints, inventory status, status of orders, etc., in a prompt, courteous and effective manner
  • Generate all related paperwork and necessary information required for customer work orders and checking all orders for special requests
  • Examines records such as bills, computer printouts, bills of lading, and related documents and correspondence and Informs customer of shipping dates, anticipated delays and any additional information needed by customer using mail, e-mail or telephone.
  • Collaborate closely with other departmental staff to coordinate account activities.

Operations

  • Report customer feedback to management, including any signs of customer dissatisfaction
  • Maintain damage records and back-order logs
  • Track on-time shipping
  • Prepare reports concerning customer service activities as required
  • Assure the integrity of the inventory and assist in conducting physical inventories
  • Compiles, sorts and verifies accuracy of data to be entered
  • Routes clients incoming orders
  • Provides back up support for all accounts other that primary

COMPETENCIES, SKILLS, ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED

 

Communication Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

Computer Skills:

  • Knowledge of WMS System
  • Intermediate skills in MS Word and Excel
  • Proficient Data Entry Skills

Other:

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to details and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to follow through and provide excellent customer service
  • Ability to establish priorities and accomplish multiple tasks

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • College diploma
  • A minimum of 1 years’ experience in customer service and warehouse experience
  • Possess basic computer skills and math skills
