For our office in Modena (MO) we are looking for a Supervisor of facilities and general service that oversees and coordinate:

  • all aspects related to the building functions and guarantees the safety and functionality of all facilities
  • all activities related to the management of the plant's Prevention and Protection Service
  • all activities related to Security of company asset from the protection of people and staff to the prevention of theft and inventory loss
  • all aspects of purchasing products that are essential for our company’s day-to-day operations
  • all aspects of maintenance and new development of automation and service equipments

 

Our ideal candidate, coming from Industrial& Logisticssector , is well-versed in facilities and general service management processes and exhibits high multitasking and organizational abilities.

 

Objectives of this role

  • Ensure all building facilities adhere to proper safety standards and cleaning procedures
  • Keep equipment and building provisions to meet health and safety requirements
  • Organize and plan building installments and refurbishments
  • Supervise facilities staff and communicate with external contractors and vendors
  • Handle insurance and general service contracts
  • Keep building and all facilities up to code and accurately follow maintenance protocol
  • Collaborate in defining instructions and operating methods that guarantee the health and safety of all workers and visitors in the relevant plant in compliance with the provisions of Legislative Decree 81/2008
  • Draw up the Health and Safety Reporting and respond to corporate requests within the established timescales
  • Propose and activate plans and specific actions to improve safety within the Plants
  • Develop and implement security standards and ensure that they are followed by all company and external staff
  • Evaluating vendors, negotiating contracts and preparing reports (e.g. on orders and costs.) For this role, you should have good knowledge of market research, along with solid analytical skills to make sure you’re identifying the most profitable offers

 

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and stimulate General Service’s team
  • Delegate responsibilities to team members
  • Run routine maintenance inspections
  • Monitor interior and exterior areas of building
  • Prepare and implement project budgets and timeframes
  • Comply with all health and safety policies and procedures
  • Support maintenance and installment work as needed

 

Skills and qualifications

  • Advanced mechanical and plumbing skills
  • Plant engineering for Fire prevention   
  • Knowledge of HVAC and other building systems
  • Excellent time management and multitasking skills
  • Basic understanding of accounting and finance principles
  • Knowledge of automatic storage system & automatic material handling system
  • Great leadership and problem-solving skills

 

Preferred qualifications

  • Certified Facility Manager (CFM) credential, or equivalent
  • Experience planning and maintaining facility budgets
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional leadership experience
  • Contract handling experience
  • Strong attention to detail
