Are you someone who enjoys challenges and likes working with customs processes? As a customs assistant at DSV, you ensure that all customs formalities and procedures surrounding our shipments run smoothly.

You get it done
As a customs assistant, you are the link between various departments. You ensure that customs formalities and inventory processes run smoothly so that shipments can be transported without delays. You play a crucial role in this.

How do you do this? With your knowledge of customs processes, you open the customs system daily and process incoming shipments. There may be times when a shipment needs to be sent, but the stock is not yet available. You ensure that the stock is released on time or decide to look for an alternative solution. When a driver is waiting, you know how to make the right choices under pressure. You achieve this by: 
•    collaborating closely with different departments to guarantee a seamless transport process.
•    efficiently processing and resolving customs and inventory-related issues.
•    maintaining contacts with customers, internal departments, and customs.

You bring

•    a completed education as an Assistant Declarant or a willingness to pursue this through DSV.
•    strong communication skills to work effectively with colleagues and other departments.
•    a keen eye for detail and an affinity for numbers.
•    proficiency in Dutch and English.
