DSV is growing rapidly, and with our new logistics site in Moerdijk, we have reached an exciting milestone. With growth comes challenges, which is why we are expanding our QHSE team. New colleagues, new processes, and plenty of opportunities to develop. There is work to be done! Laying a solid foundation for safety, monitoring it, and adjusting where needed: You’re on it.

How you do this? As a health & safety specialist, you ensure that safety is not just on paper, but truly lived across our organization. You are visible in daily operations, conducting safety rounds, addressing colleagues when necessary, guiding audits, and continuously improving procedures and work instructions. You achieve this by:

  • conducting safety rounds and oversight, actively identifying, reporting, and discussing unsafe situations and improvement opportunities;
  • maintaining safety instructions and toolbox talks, coordinating and managing first-aid and training programs;
  • guiding and executing the Risk Inventory & Evaluation (RI&E) and following up on the Action Plan;
  • analyzing and following up on incidents, including reporting and initiating corrective and preventive measures;
  • participating in safety meetings with various stakeholders, providing H&S trainings and presentations;
  • staying up-to-date with relevant national and international laws and regulations.

You bring

 

  • proactive and authentic communicator;
  • mvk or hbo in safety management;
  • knowledge of bhv or hazardous materials storage (PGS15, PGS37-2) preferred;
  • experience in a similar role, preferably in logistics or production;
  • Dutch (B1) and English proficiency.
