The Infrastructure Support Specialist within the business unit “Global Platform Operations” is responsible for supporting and operating the DSV’s based on a multi-hybrid-cloud architecture using global support processes and tools. 

The role contributes to the ongoing multi-hybrid-cloud transformation journey by ensuring stable operations, infrastructure compliance, monitoring, patch management, automation, and operational support for globally managed resources. The position works closely with Engineering, Service Management, and Application teams to support standardized and scalable cloud services following Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and global operational standards. 

You will join an international operations team working across multiple regions in a follow-the-sun support model. The team supports modern cloud infrastructure platforms and drives operational excellence through automation, standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives. 

 

Key Tasks & Responsibilities 

  • Maintain stable daily operations for cloud infrastructure services within the assigned support scope and time zone. 

  • Perform regular monitoring, validation, and health checks of managed cloud resources and operational platforms. 

  • Execute standard operational procedures for provisioning, configuration changes, patching, backup validation, and infrastructure maintenance activities. 

  • Support incident handling and troubleshooting for infrastructure-level issues following defined SLA and operational processes. 

  • Perform preliminary investigation of incidents, identify potential workarounds, and escalate complex issues to specialist teams when required. 

  • Support Infrastructure as Code (IaC) based operations and deployments via CI/CD pipelines. 

  • Maintain and support operational tooling including monitoring, logging, automation, and security agents. 

  • Contribute to operational automation and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce manual effort and improve platform stability. 

  • Collaborate with global teams across regions to ensure operational consistency and knowledge sharing. 

  • Support compliance and security-related operational activities, including patch compliance, monitoring integration, backup validation, and infrastructure standards enforcement. 

  • Maintain operational documentation, SOPs, and technical knowledge articles

     

    Qualifications 

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related disciplines, or equivalent practical experience. 

    • 2–4 years of experience in IT infrastructure support, cloud operations, system administration, or related areas. 

    • Basic to intermediate experience with cloud platforms. (based on AWS or Azure) 

    • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts and tools such as Terraform. 

    • Basic knowledge of CI/CD concepts and operational automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps). 

    • Experience with Linux and/or Windows server administration. 

    • Understanding of infrastructure operations concepts including monitoring, backup, patch management, and incident handling. 

    • Familiarity with monitoring and operational tools such as Dynatrace, CloudWatch, or similar platforms is beneficial. 

    • Basic understanding of IT security principles and operational compliance standards. 

    • Knowledge of ITIL processes or service management practices is considered an advantage. 

    • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a structured and service-oriented mindset. 

    • Ability to work effectively in an international and fast-changing environment. 

    • Strong communication skills and willingness to collaborate across teams and regions. 

    • Fluent business English (written and spoken).
