General Description
Responsible for support and operations of application services (2nd Level Support) and supporting the applications used by Road Division in Asia Pacific. He/she delivers the service for IT service management processes, i.e. ensuring the smooth operation of the application. The tasks are typically investigation and resolution of issues and may also include performance monitoring and configuration of software parameters.
Requires shifts rotation from Monday to Friday 7am – 3pm / 9am – 6pm / 11am – 7pm SGT, including Public Holidays and on-call support 24x7.
Specific Accountabilities
- Maintains application support processes, and checks that all requests for support are dealt with according to agreed procedures
- Uses application management software and tools to investigate issues, collect performance statistics and create reports
- Prioritizes and diagnoses incidents according to agreed procedures
- Investigates causes of incidents and seeks resolution
- Escalates unresolved incidents
- Facilitates recovery, following resolution of incidents
- Documents and closes resolved incidents according to agreed procedures
- Initiates and monitors actions to investigate and resolve problems in systems, processes and services
- Determines problem fixes/remedies
- Assists with the implementation of agreed remedies and preventative measures
- Carries out agreed applications maintenance tasks
- “Go Live" support after introduction of new solutions
- Supporting the processing of service requests
- Configuration of software parameters to meet business requirements by using the existing data
- Perform regression tests after product upgrade / maintenance patch / hotfix
Skills & Qualifications Required
- Fluent in English (Spoken & Written)
- Basic in Business Acumen (Road Transportation is a plus)
- Competence in Applications Consultancy & Support (any TMS is a plus)
- Competence in PL/SQL (Oracle is a plus)
- Competence in Problem Management (ITIL)
- Competence in Incident Management (ITIL)
- Competence in Analysis and Reporting Tools (Jaspersoft Studio is a plus)
