The Solution Architect in Air & Sea IT is responsible for designing, governing, and evolving end-to-end technology solutions that support global Air & Sea freight operations. The role ensures solution designs reflect business needs, comply with enterprise architecture standards, reuse existing capabilities, and integrate effectively across a broad ecosystem of operational and customer-facing platforms. The architect acts as a strategic bridge between business stakeholders, product owners, requirements engineering, development teams, and enterprise architecture, enabling scalable, secure, modern, and future-proof solutions aligned with Air & Sea business objectives and IT strategy.You will join a dedicated international Solution Architect team within the world’s largest Logistic Company. In our team, we work closely together to maintain and evolve the baseline and target architecture for Air & Sea IT, always ensuring alignment with enterprise principles and strategic direction. We collaborate across the organization to design, evaluate, and document architecture spanning applications, integrations, and data. Together, we shape the architectural roadmap for the domain, making sure it supports our long-term strategy. We also help ensure that all IT initiatives follow our architectural standards, security practices, and application roadmap. As a team, we actively encourage reuse of existing capabilities and shared solutions to reduce complexity, increase consistency, and manage costs effectively.Key tasks & responsibilitiesTranslate business and operational requirements into solution strategies, solution designs, and integration concepts.Ensure solution designs respect principles such as API-first, modularity, cloud-native patterns, and AI readiness.Conduct architectural reviews and support decision-making processes to ensure architectural coherence.Define non-functional requirements such as scalability, resilience, observability, and performance. Analyse cross-domain impacts and clarify implications early.Maintain and evolve the baseline and target architecture for Air & Sea IT in alignment with enterprise principles and strategic guidelines.Develop, evaluate, and document architecture across application, integration, and data/information layers.Ensure IT initiatives comply with architectural principles, security guidelines, and the application roadmap.Promote architectural reuse and alignment with existing capabilities to minimize complexity and cost.Create and maintain high-quality architecture artifacts such as integration diagrams, data flows, domain models, decision logs, and roadmaps. Profile and QualificationsUniversity degree in computer science, natural sciences, business IT, or equivalent education or experience.Minimum 3–5 years of professional experience in application design, system architecture, or software engineering. Experience in business analysis or certification such as TOGAF are welcome, but not mandatory.Strong knowledge of application, integration, and data/information architecture.Familiarity with architecture and frameworks such as TOGAF.Experienced with EAM tools and architecture modelling methodologies.Expertise in API design, event-driven architecture, cloud platforms, and CI/CD.Knowledge above Air & Sea Domain/systems.Strong analytical and conceptual thinking.Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
