STRATEGIC / TACTICAL
- Lead and represent the BY CC towards the GCM account, ensuring alignment on priorities, expectations, and delivery plans.
- Drive the internal BY CC organization around GCM—securing resources, planning activities, managing timelines, and coordinating workstreams linked to the account.
- Collaborate with Local IT Business Partner CL IT organization to jointly support the GCM, align on priorities, and ensure combined delivery.
- Represent the BY CC for GCM matters toward other Global IT teams (e.g., EDI, Integrations, Automation, Architecture, Security), ensuring clarity on responsibilities and dependencies.
- Ensure BY CC uses the right architecture, templatized approaches, and standardized solutions by collaborating closely with the BY CC Core team.
- Build and maintain a strong relationship with the GCM team; drive proactive collaboration, early alignment, and shared ownership of outcomes.
- Represent BY CC toward Operations and the customer—ensuring transparent communication, aligned deliverables, and mutual understanding of scope, timelines, requirements, and constraints.
GOVERNANCE
- Ensure all requirements are properly translated into Change Requests (CRs) or projects with clear scopes, documented assumptions, and High-Level Estimates (HLEs).
- Control scope, manage scope creep, and ensure delivery stays within agreed HLE boundaries.
- Ensure governance compliance for architecture, solution templates, development standards, documentation, and operational handover requirements.
- Maintain financial transparency across internal and external resource usage for all GCM-related work.
- Escalate risks, blockers, and critical decision points to the Head of BY CC or relevant management in a timely and structured manner.
- Adhere to the global and regional governance guidelines defined for all IT solutions and in particular the once in the logistics area
RESEARCH AND EXPAND THE TOOLBOX FOR WMS SOLUTIONS
- Research new opportunities for increasing productivity and growing profit within the function of WMS systems
- Communicate and collaborate with the BY WMS Core Lead, BY WMS Delivery Lead & Director BY WMS on future functionality as market trends/demands are presented
- Collaborate with the Core & Delivery teams in delivering those functionalities
EXECUTION
- Organize and oversee all BY CC workstreams connected to GCM—including solution design, build streams, rollouts, improvements, and escalation handling.
- Act as the BY CC lead in calls, meetings, and workshops involving the GCM account, Operations, customer representatives, and IT stakeholders.
- Support the BY CC Support team by helping prioritize issues, ensuring rapid stabilisation, and driving preventive actions to reduce recurring GCM‑related incidents.
- Ensure the design and delivery of supportable, easy‑to‑use, stable solutions that follow BY CC standards and best practices.
- Coordinate with BY CC Core to ensure architectural consistency, templatization, and adherence to implementation guidelines.
- Secure on‑time, in‑budget delivery of all BY CC commitments for the GCM account.
- Provide structured progress reporting to the Head of BY CC / relevant leadership.
- Ensure consistent reporting and coordination with peers managing other GCM accounts—harmonizing approach, templates, KPIs, and communication methods.
- Participate in weekly BY CC management meetings and contribute to organizational improvements, knowledge sharing, and best‑practice alignment.
- Act as interface between the demand functions and IT solutions to ensure internal and external customer requirements are met
- Secure on-time creation of technical solutions, internal developments
- Analyze customer requirements, recommend, project manage & manage the implementation of IT solutions in collaboration with business owner/account manager
- Coordinate information & activities to ensure customer satisfaction in delivering warehouse management solutions
- Collaborate with regional project management team to manage time/resources and successfully deliver IT warehouse systems services
- Create and deliver in person or by teams’ presentations/demos on how IT enables warehouse solutions
- Identify gaps and/or shortcomings of DSV warehouse applications based on own’s observations, knowledge, customer’s requirements and competitor’s systems. Pro-actively discuss these improvement opportunities with the global WMS teams in both Core and Support areas and where appropriate participate in continous improvement projects related to DSV’s standard warehouse solutions
