Summary
At DSV Road Inc, The Account Manager is a dynamic role and will be responsible for managing and growing a book of business existing accounts while also driving new business development initiatives to expand our client base.  This individual will play a pivotal role in building and maintaining strong client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and achieving sales targets.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, fostering strong relationships, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Understand client needs and preferences and develop tailored transportation solutions to meet their requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of freight brokerage services and timely resolution of any issues.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the transportation and logistics industry.
  • Prospect and qualify leads, develop sales strategies, and pitch our services to potential clients.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of sales opportunities, tracking progress and managing the sales cycle from lead generation to closure.
  • Conduct regular check-ins with existing clients to assess satisfaction levels, address concerns, and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.
  • Proactively engage with clients to anticipate their future transportation needs and provide value-added solutions.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to ensure that client expectations are met and exceeded.
  • Stay informed about market trends, industry developments, and competitor activities in the freight brokerage sector.
  • Analyze market data and customer feedback to identify areas of opportunity and develop strategic plans for growth.
  • Track and analyze sales performance metrics, including revenue targets, client retention rates, and new business acquisition.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement based on performance data.

Educational background / Work experience / Qualifications

  • High School diploma.
  • 2 years’ experience in logistics, transportation brokerage, or related field.      

 

Language Skills

  • Business fluent in English

 

Computer Literacy

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and others)
  • Good knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (MS Dynamics) Tools

 

Mathematical Skills

  • Position requires strong mathematical skills for pricing and negotiating.

 

Other Skills

  • Planning and organizing skills.
  • Ability to work in a multi-tasked, fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours.

 

Physical and/or Mental Requirements / Working Conditions

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand.  The employee is often required to walk and use hand and eye coordination.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.   

 

Work Hours and Environment

  • Normal working hours for this position are Monday – Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, however, working beyond these hours will often be required by business needs. 

 

For this position, the expected base pay is: $47,000- $63,500/ Annual.  Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, geographical location, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
