Move forward as Supervisor Logistics Engineering at DSV in East Netherlands

As a supervisor of logistics engineering, you'll lead a team of approximately 6 logistics process engineers, spread across 3 DSV locations in the East Netherlands region. Your team operates largely autonomously, but you're expected to coordinate their projects, tasks, and progress. Working closely with the supervisor for our WMS team: you work on it.

How do you do this? our mission as a supervisor of logistics engineering is to ensure continuous growth and development within your team, covering a wide range of specializations in the East Netherlands region. Collaborating with national and international engineering colleagues, project management, QHSE, and DSV Sigma, you and your team are responsible for over 180,000m2 of warehouse space in Venray, 's-Heerenberg, and Haps. You achieve this by:

• coaching your team, conducting performance reviews, result discussions, and progress meetings. Additionally, you're accountable for managing absenteeism and the recruitment and onboarding of new colleagues;
• serving as a technical sounding board for your team members;
• optimizing processes, from large-scale automations to conventional warehouse solutions;
• aligning projects and priorities in consultation with our account managers and operational managers;
• building a strong internal network with colleagues in automation, IT, and HR.

Your team stands out within DSV because of its diverse mix of knowledge and experience! It includes not only colleagues with IT or engineering backgrounds but also those with experience in logistics.

You bring

• HBO/WO level of education, preferably in logistics;
• around 5 years of experience in logistics engineering, process engineering, or supply chain engineering;
• leadership experience, preferably supplemented with logistics automation projects;
• a structured and hands-on approach to work. You communicate effectively in both Dutch and English.
