Summary

The DSV Road Business Change Manager focuses on overseeing change projects, system and business enhancement implementations while developing, coordinating, and providing necessary training to ensure successful delivery of a project. The Business Change Manager is responsible for managing new changes and system implementations for mid-to large scale projects for DSV Road, with a focus on change management initiatives and facilitation. This position will participate in defining business requirements, defining technical requirements, engage business users in capturing use cases, workflows, requirements, and map current and future state process flows.

 

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Successfully performs the three phases of a change project; Preparing, Managing and Reinforcing change, with a focus on change management strategies, communication and implementation plans, coaching and training plans, as well as resistance management and corrective action planning, to name a few.
  • Serve as the liaison between all functional groups involved in new business startups (IT, Engineering, Operation, etc. for new customer implementations and complex IT projects.
  • Perform organizational and change assessments to ready the project team and plan for the expected impact of the proposed changes.
  • Ability to manage various size projects utilizing project management tools, processes, and concepts to communicate to various levels of the organization.
  • Leverages best practices in the gathering and documentation of business, functional, and non-functional requirements for solutions that may span multiple business areas by partnering with business, IT, and other stakeholders.
  • Aids in the creation and evolution of applications, systems and processes toward desired state functionality through deep understanding of current state and future state processes.
  • Supports solution design and execution through active collaboration with project, business, IT and support teams, facilitate translation of business requirements into system impacts and participate in impact analysis of proposed system changes.
  • Proactively manages changes in project scope or schedule and assess their impact on budgets, business processes or other initiatives.
  • Elicits requirements using interviews and workshops, document analysis and business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, tasks and workflows.
  • Creates and distributes documentation as needed: Functional requirements, Business Requirements, Use Cases, End-to-End testing documents, Mock-up Diagrams, Data Flow Diagrams, Project Plans, Training Material etc.
  • Ensures adequate user acceptance testing (UAT) for new capabilities and solutions.
  • Independently prioritizes projects and tasks to deliver value to the business.
  • Introduces best practice and process improvement ideas wherever appropriate.
  • Adheres to the country guidelines of the location where contract is signed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Skills & Competencies

  • People oriented with key understanding of requirements of changing people and routines.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage/prioritize multiple projects and tasks concurrently.
  • Knowledge of and experience following industry standard best practices in change management, process mapping and business analysis.
  • Experience with executive and cross-functional presentations and communication.
  • Strong analytical, technical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience and proven ability to perform process mapping (Value Stream Mapping) of current and future state.
  • Keen understanding of Transportation Management Systems (TMS), logistics/brokerage processes and how different 3rd party and internal systems interact (via EDI, API, etc.) to function efficiently.
  • Acts as a positive role model to all team members (e.g. punctual, prepared and performs at high standards).
  • Displays flexibility and creativity in problem solving and meeting work assignments while ensuring compliance with DSV policies and procedures.
  • Exhibits excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills, ability to handle multiple concurrent projects, and prioritize multiple requests.
  • Self-starter, assertive, independent and can work without close supervision on multiple concurrent projects.
  • A deep understanding of the process of identifying and clarifying business requirements is desired, as well as innate talents around investigating and organizing business requirements.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with key business and technology partners.
  • Must be a team player with outstanding interpersonal skills and possess an ability to communicate both verbally and in writing at various levels of the organization and across various groups.

 

Educational background / Work experience / Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain/Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field, or experience in lieu of education.
  • 2 years of experience as a Change Consultant, Logistics Specialist, Business Analyst or a related field.
  • Project Management Experience

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Professional Designations

  • Prosci ADKAR change management certification ideal
  • PMP certificate or equivalent training preferred

Language Skills

  • Excellent verbal, written, reading and communication skills in English required.
  • Spanish is preferred but not required.

Computer Literacy

  • Microsoft Office 360 Suite - incl. Outlook, Excel, Visio, Word, Power Point, Teams, OneNote.
  • Familiar with IT workflow tools including Jira and Confluence

Physical and/or Mental Requirements / Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand.  The employee is often required to walk and use hand and eye coordination.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.   

 

Work Hours and Environment

Normal working hours for this position are Monday – Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, however, working beyond these hours will often be required by business needs.

For this position, the expected base pay is: $70,500- $105,500/ Annual.  Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, geographical location, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
