We’re looking for an experienced Operations manager to join our team in Brisbane. The position is responsible for handling shipments from conception to completion – from liaising with customers & suppliers in an effective and timely manner whilst directing, compiling, and processing the necessary documentation, to arranging transport and final invoicing. 

 

 

Your typical day at DSV: 

• Carry out workflow processes in accordance with management directive, customer instructions, SOPs, and specified requirements.  

• Establish and maintain strong client relationships with DSV customers (internal and external), suppliers and service providers both locally and overseas. 

• Read, interpret, and carry out instructions recorded on documents or within DSV’s systems. 

• Communicate (verbal and written) with customers, suppliers, and other team members to obtain information or communicate issues. 

• Support the Operations manager with day-to-day activities, and other reasonable tasks and projects as required 

• Plan and prioritize shipments from the relevant CW1 workbenches to achieve milestone requirements, designated KPIs and deadlines. 

• Ability to problem solve operational issues with a range of stakeholders including but not to limited: airlines, shipping lines, transport providers, co-loaders, and customers.

•Adopt a customer-first approach, prioritizing customer needs and expectations in all operations. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by delivering reliable, timely, and cost-effective freight solutions. 

•Consistently achieving best performance, driving operational excellence, and meeting or exceeding KPIs. 

•Collaborate with team members to solve problems and achieve common goals. Promote cross-functional teamwork to enhance operational efficiency and customer service.
