Procedure Specialist and QHSE Auditor - Roles and Responsibilities

 General role and expectations:

 

We are seeking a full-time Procedure Specialist and QHSE Auditor who will be expected to audit all DSV UK sites and hold responsibility for ensuring the Integrated Management System (IMS) and policies within it are in place, controlled and up to date. 

 

There will be an expectation of regular travel required on a regular basis.   The organisation is divided between Road, Air and Sea and Solutions and with each division brings its own challenges so can expect your daily routine to be varied but for the right person truly rewarding.    The successful candidate will work closely with QHSE professionals and utilise their subject matter expertise to ensure all policies and procedures are compliant to national legislation.

 

 Responsible for:

 

  • Report directly to the Senior Manager QHSE & Healthcare, UK & IE and ensure set tasks are completed on time.
  • Manage and maintain the audit schedule.
  • Undertake internal audits and inspections whilst maintaining our rigorous audit programme.
  • Ensure all sites are audited within the specified timeframe.
  • Write up and distribute all audits and action points.
  • Ensure the IMS is compliant to ISO 9001,14001 and 45001 standards.
  • Champion continual improvement and always strive to be best-in-class.
  • Be able to work independently in a challenging role and have a working background in SharePoint, Management systems and auditing.
  • Developing and improving the QHSE audit programme.
  • Driving continuous improvement through policy and auditing.
  • Carrying out and assessing audit trends and collating audit stats.
  • Implement objectives and targets set by line management.
  • Conducting internal audits to ISO standards.
  • Regular reviewing and updating of operational procedures, policies and documents utilising the subject matter experts within QHSE for advice.
  • Provide progress report on a regular basis to the Senior Manager QHSE UK and IE and monthly reports to management.
  • Liaison with external companies for example external ISO auditors where appropriate.
  • Other tasks as set by line management.

 

 

Skills and Competences

 

  • IOSH level HSE certification
  • knowledge and understanding of SharePoint
  • Auditing qualification relevant to the job role. (Lead auditor preferred.)
  • Experience working within an integrated Management system consisting of Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental Management System aligned with ISOs 9001, 14001 and 45001.
  • Excellent engagement and communication skills including presentation and report writing skills including the ability to produce concise information suitable to be disseminated within the company.
  • Ability to maintain strong engagement and collaboration with all levels of the business
  • The ability to work independently without direct supervision – planning, organizing, prioritizing own daily work routine to meet deadlines.
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and practical problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to approaches problems in a logical and systematic way.
  • The ability to make decisions with confidence and in a timely manner.
