Customer Service Administrator

Brief

We are looking for a Customer Service Operative (DSV Road) to work alongside DSV Air & Sea entity. The person we are looking for must be enthusiastic about our business and the freight industry, have a positive outlook and a clear focus on high job quality. You will be the link between Operations and DSV A&S, ensuring high levels of customer interface and operational output. The successful candidate, who will report to the Department Manager, must be; proactive, organised, punctual, engaging and motivated as well as having good attention to detail. 
We are looking for a person who can add extra quality to our already highly skilled team and interested in providing an excellent service.

 

Purpose of the position

  • Act as the single point of contact for DSV Air & Sea and German Control Tower, to handle all queries and orders efficiently and putting the customer’s best interest first, in accordance with the company's service standards.  
  • Ensure an excellent customer experience and high-quality service with the goal of achieving maximum customer satisfaction and further growth of the company

.        

KEY TASKS

  • Instructing terminals with container offload information through company system
  • Updating and instructing collections and deliveries in accordance with customer booking/s
  • Liaise with Operations/Customs and Control Tower to ensure customer commitments are delivered upon.
  • Effective monitoring to ensure deliveries are completed within the agreed timelines.
  • Ensure that all collection consignments are conforming to correct information.
  • Pro-active problem solving with customers and colleagues when issues arise.
  • Ensure consignments are updated correctly in order to invoice in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Provision of PODs to meet customer requirements where necessary.
  • Provide KPI reports both internally and externally where required
  • General Day to Day administrative duties.
  • Monitor transport orders, both during pickup and after execution (delivery), to ensure successful execution in accordance with contractual agreements.  
  • Intervene when orders are at risk of being executed incorrectly and work closely with operational services/transport planning/control tower to find solutions and successful execution of the transport order.  
  • Proactive and professional communication with customer/s.  
  • Handle complaints and escalations.  


 

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous Customer Service experience coupled with knowledge of the Transport Industry would be advantageous but not necessary as training will be provided
  • Customer focused with dedication in your service delivery to meet Customer needs.
  • Possess the ability to maintain positivity when working under pressure reprioritising workload where necessary.
  • Be reliable with the ability to multitask and have strong problem-solving skills.
  • Have strong attention to detail, accuracy, and numeracy.
  • Excellent IT skills with the ability to learn new systems quickly as required i.e. Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal/written with a polite, courteous, and professional telephone manner.

Hours:  08:00am–17:00pm, Monday-Friday with a 30 minute lunch break
