Your focus will be on customers with complex logistic challenges, supporting them with order and freight management. What you may be looking for is a variety of challenging issues in the field of import, export, and cross trades. You will find exactly that level of complexity and diversity within our ISC department (Intercontinental Supply Chain Solutions). Together with 9 experienced freight forwarding colleagues, you ensure top-level service: You’re on it.

How you do this? As a senior forwarder, you manage the complete import and export flow for challenging customer accounts and are jointly responsible for process improvements and operational excellence. This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with hybrid working options. You are a driving force behind the continued growth of our ISC team. You achieve this by:

• coordinating complex shipments, you are responsible for the planning, booking, and handling of both import and export shipments. You work closely with internal teams and external partners, ensuring everything runs smoothly in line with agreements with our clients (SOPs);
• managing, preparing, and monitoring documentation and compliance, taking care of freight forwarding and customs documentation, ensuring all processes comply with laws and regulations;
• acting as a proactive problem solver for our customers, informing them of discrepancies, delays, or damages, and developing solutions that work for all parties involved;
• managing relationships and developing networks, maintaining and strengthening relationships with customers, international offices, and partners, while monitoring supplier performance. You also participate in MBRs, contributing to the optimization of the entire supply chain;
• sharing information with stakeholders, ensuring all relevant documents, information, and updates are shared in a timely manner with colleagues, agents, and offices, keeping processes efficient and transparent.

You bring

• you are eager, contribute your own ideas, and have an energetic work attitude;
• knowledge of freight and/or order management is a plus;
• you are a self-starter and, based on your experience, are able to manage complex shipments;
• at least 4 years of work experience in a similar role within ocean freight import or export;
• good command of Dutch (B1 level) and English, both spoken and written.
