Move forward as Freight Forwarder at DSV in Rotterdam

Responsible for the supply of large international customers, who are active in the oil & gas sector. You ensure that the daily operation continues to run there 24/7 by supplying all necessary goods. From industrial engines to time-critical products. Together with your colleagues you look for the best logistics solutions. That's what you do!

You get it done

Together with your colleagues in Rotterdam (at the office and warehouse) ensure that all necessary goods go to the overseas (drilling) platforms. By air freight, sea freight, breakbulk or courier. From DSV's warehouse to the other side of the world: you participate.

How do you do this? By working closely with colleagues as an oil & gas forwarder. Both with other forwarders and your colleagues in the warehouse. You will receive details from your contact person at the customer about an order they place with their supplier. Your colleagues in the warehouse receive the shipment, check it for numbers, damage and documentation. You then ensure that the shipment is prepared, the associated transport is found and all certifications and documentation are correct. In a way that you work together on the satisfaction of the international key accounts. And in between you inform the customer about the progress of other shipments. You achieve this by:

• processing customer orders in the DSV system and informing colleagues what to do;

• maintaining contact with (road) transporters, shipping companies, airlines and agents;

• solve possible problems in a customer-oriented way;

• informing your contact persons at the customer, via telephone and email, about current shipments.

You bring

• at least 4 years of experience as a freight forwarder with experience in air and/or sea freight and breakbulk shipments;
• an up-to-date knowledge and experience with organisation of oil & gas shipments.
