You get it done
As an ocean freight supervisor, you are both a leader and the driving force behind our export department. The team consists of 12 export enthusiasts. You guide operational freight forwarders, support day-to-day activities, and provide advice on complex matters. You are involved operationally for about 25% of your time, while also focusing on customer implementations, HR matters, planning, and achieving KPI targets. Your department? Efficient, well-structured, and results driven. Together they deliver top performance: You’re on it.

• maintaining contact with international colleagues, road carriers, and shipping lines to ensure smooth processes;
• safeguarding a realistic and timely planning of all shipments;
• developing and supporting your team, including performance reviews, training, vacation planning, and absenteeism management;
• organizing team meetings and implementing improvements within the department;
• carrying out operational account management and maintaining relationships with key partners;
• monitoring SLAs and ensuring agreed service levels are achieved.

You bring

• an energetic work attitude, you are positive and confident;
• experience in leading a team and driving results, with a proven track record of success;
• at least 5 years of work experience in a similar role within import or export; this may also be in the form of a team lead, coordinator, or senior position;
• good command of Dutch (B1 level) and English, both spoken and written;
• experience with Cargowise is a plus.
